Tandy: Jones and co provide Ospreys experience

Ospreys may have lost a pair of British & Irish Lions this summer, but head coach Steve Tandy believes they can cope in their absence.

Hooker Richard Hibbard and lock Ian Evans have departed the club for Gloucester and Bristol respectively ahead of the new season.

However, Tandy can still call upon Alun Wyn Jones, who captained the Lions in their final Test against Australia last summer, veteran prop Adam Jones and many more.

"Every coach would like experienced players but it isn't as if we are without any at the Ospreys," he said.

"We have the Lions and Wales captain Alun Wyn Jones in our squad, plus Dan Biggar, plus other senior players such as Duncan Jones, Joe Bearman, Andrew Bishop and even Ashley Beck, who has been around a while now.

"It's just up to us to develop people and do all we can to quicken that process. There's a lot of quality in our squad."
