In honour of the 1959 tour to New Zealand that helped establish the mythology of the British & Irish Lions – Canterbury have released 1,959 limited edition versions of the jersey worn on that tour.

Keith Wood’s father Gordon was a prop in the 1959 touring squad that were renowned for their attacking rugby – scoring 165 tries and a total of 842 points across 33 matches – a record for a Lions tour.

As the newly unveiled official kit suppliers to the Lions, Canterbury have launched their 'since 1888' range and these 1,959 commemorative jerseys can be won by entering our competition.
