The British & Irish Lions’ charity partner The Atlas Foundation have launched their Christmas appeal designed to raise funds for disadvantaged children all around the world.

Lions and Atlas chairman Jason Leonard launched the XV Days of Christmas campaign by releasing his own video.

Atlas are encouraging their Rugby Champions, legends of the game as well as the global rugby family, to share their favourite Christmas memories and donate to The Atlas Foundation.

Leonard, who founded Atlas, revealed his own memory and said: “The one that really stands out to me is, as a rough kid, I used to break a lot of my toys.

“Well, all my toys apart from one which was a bright yellow Tonka toy, a big truck.

“I liked my toys that could bounce, this truck by the end of Christmas was battered, beaten and everything, but somehow this toy survived and that stuck with me over all these years.

“So, I’ve shared my Christmas memory, I’d like you to do the same. Please upload your video, #XVDays, donate and join the conversation online – it would be great to have you on board.

“Thank you very much and have a great Christmas!”

The Atlas Foundation is an international children’s charity harnessing the values and community of rugby to support children growing up in the world’s poorest communities to thrive and you can donate here.
