Sandy Hinshelwood went on two Tours with the Lions – to Australia and New Zealand in 1966 and to South Africa in 1968.
Overall the Scottish winger made 28 appearances in the famous red jersey, scoring 18 tries.
In 1966 he appeared in two Tests against the All Blacks – scoring one try – and two years later in South Africa he appeared in the final drawn Test against the Springboks.
Hinshelwood retired with 21 caps for his country and five tries and his son Ben also played full-back for Scotland.
