Wales No.8 Eddie Butler made just a solitary Lions appearance during his distinguished career.
The Newport-born back rower made 16 appearances for his nation during a five-year international career that saw him called up to the Lions squad for the 1983 Tour to New Zealand as an injury replacement for Jeff Squire.
Butler made his debut against Waikato on July 12, the penultimate match of the Tour, a game which the Lions won 40-13 in Hamilton.
During his playing days Butler captained Pontypool RFC between 1982 and 1985, but has now become more known for his commentary on the BBC.
After retiring he became columnist for The Observer and joined the BBC to commentate with fellow former player, Brian Moore.
As his commentary became more renowned, Butler branched out into presenting and, in 2014, presented Wales and the History of the World, as well as Hidden Histories.
