Roger Baird was an ever-present during the 1983 trip to New Zealand and was one of only two try-scorers in the four Test matches.
But the Scottish wing also lays claim to the unusual stat of having scored six tries for the Lions but not crossed the whitewash for his national side in 27 caps.
Baird had already bagged a brace against Wellington and Wairarapa/Bush, and also scored against Canterbury, when he grabbed a try against New Zealand in the 15-8 defeat in the third Test.
The Kelso wing played in all four Tests and was also part of the Scotland team that secured the 1984 Grand Slam and won in Wales for the first time in 20 years, not to mention a debut victory in Australia.
