Shane Williams played in the Tours in 2005, 2009 and 2013 and made 87 appearances for Wales - for whom he is the all-time leading try scorer.
Williams was awarded his first Wales cap by Graham Henry as a replacement against France in 2000.
He was selected for the Lions Tour to New Zealand in 2005 and equalled a single-game Lions record by scoring five tries in a Tour match against Manawatu. He also appeared in two Tests, one against Argentina and one against the All Blacks.
Four years later in South Africa, Williams missed out on a starting place in the first two Tests but was selected to play in the final Test where he produced a man-of-the-match winning performance and scored two tries that contributed to the 28–9 victory over the Springboks.
In 2013 Williams was heading out to Australia to commentate on the Test series when he was called up as a surprise injury replacement to face the ACT Brumbies - his 14th and final Lions appearance.
He retired in 2015 after spending the final years of his career in Japanese club rugby with Mitsubishi Dynaboars.
