Competition rules / Terms & Conditions – Win flights, accommodation and match tickets for two to the first Test between New Zealand and The British & Irish Lions.

This competition (“Competition”) is open to residents of the United Kingdom (excluding Northern Ireland) and the Republic of Ireland only excluding employees of the promoter, its associated companies and agencies, their immediate families or anyone else involved in the organisation or administration of the Competition. Entrants must be 18 or over at the time they enter the Competition. Only one entry is permitted per person.

For a chance to win, entrants must enter the Lions private league with the code “fanalytics” within the Lions App and play all three rounds of the game within the league between 12 noon GMT on Thursday May 18 2017 and Monday June 12 at noon GMT (the “Closing Time”).

Players can enter anytime between the start date and close date. Any entry submitted after the Closing Time will not be accepted. All people who enter the Lions private league by the Closing Time will receive one entry into the Competition. For the avoidance of doubt, no purchase is necessary to enter the Competition.

The winner of the Competition will be chosen by a random draw from all people who have entered the Competition at around 12 noon GMT on Monday June 12 2017 (the “Draw Date”).

The winner will be contacted directly by the promoter by email within 48 hours of the Draw Date with details of how to claim the prize. Reasonable efforts will be made to contact the winner however if the winner cannot be contacted within 48 hours of the first email sent notifying them of their prize, the prize will be forfeited and a replacement winner will be selected by random draw. This process will continue until a winner is notified and validly accepts the prize within 48 hours of notification.

The name and country of residence (and, where applicable, the county) of the winner will be available by emailing office@lionsrugby.com for 90 days following the Draw Date.

There is one (1) prize. The prize is for two people (the winner and a guest) and includes return flights from London to Auckland, hotel accommodation in Auckland for the duration of the trip, match tickets to the first Test against New Zealand at Eden Park in Auckland on Saturday June 24 and access to the official Lions Supporters Village on that match day. All costs and expenses not expressly set out in this paragraph 6 and paragraph 7 below are the responsibility of the winner (including all transfers to and from airports, hotels and match venues, travel insurance costs, and all food and beverage costs other than as expressly stated). The winner is solely responsible for ensuring they and their guest have all passports, visas and other travel documentation required to benefit from the prize.

Full details of the prize are as follows:

The winner and their guest will leave London Heathrow on a Qantas flight currently scheduled at 13:30 (local time) on June 21 2017, via Dubai and Melbourne, currently scheduled to arrive in Auckland at 05:10 (local time) on June 23 2017.

The winner and their guest will check into The Langham Auckland and stay there for the duration of their trip. The winner and their guest will share a room with one extra-large bed. Depending on hotel availability – two single beds may be available.

The winner and their guest will receive an entry pass each to the Official Lions Supporters Village at The Cloud in Auckland, which will be open from 1.30pm – 4.30pm (local time) and includes complimentary food and beverages, music and entertainment.

The winner and their guest will receive one match ticket each (two tickets in total) to the first Test match of the 2017 tour between New Zealand and the Lions which is taking place at Eden Park in Auckland on June 24.

The winner and their guest will leave Auckland on a Qantas flight currently scheduled at 19:30 (local time) on June 27 2017, via Melbourne and Dubai, currently scheduled to arrive at London Heathrow at 14:10 (local time) on June 28 2017.

The prize winner must comply, and ensure that their guest complies, with all terms and conditions applicable to all match tickets, all hotel rooms, and all airline and other carriers; all applicable health and safety requirements notified to them in respect of the same; and all reasonable instructions of the promoter or the provider of any particular element of the prize.

The prize is as stated and no alternatives are available, provided that the promoter may, in its sole discretion, substitute a prize (or prize component) of equal or greater value due to unavailability of a prize (or prize component) for any reason. The prize is non-transferable and may not be redeemed for cash or resold. All flight times are correct at time of printing but are subject to change by the airline, and the promoter accepts no liability for any such changes.

By entering the Competition, entrants agree to be added to the subscriber database to receive regular communications from the promoter around The British & Irish Lions (including the Lions Newsletter) and are free to unsubscribe from this communication at any time in the future by following the unsubscribe link contained in such communications.

The prize winner may be required to participate in future publicity. By participating in the Competition, the prize winner agrees that the promoter can record, film and/or photograph their participating in all aspects of the prize and exploit, and authorise third parties to exploit, such films, photographs or recordings in any media now known or hereafter invented in any part of the world and for any purpose whatsoever in perpetuity, with no payment being due to the winner.

Proof of making an entry does not constitute proof of receipt by the Promoter. Except as otherwise required by applicable law, the promoter does not accept any entries which for technical or other reasons is unsuccessful, incomplete, lost, late, damaged, corrupted or misdirected.

Conditional upon paragraph 13 below, the promoter is only responsible for loss or damage an entrant suffers that is a foreseeable result of the promoter’s breach of these Terms and Conditions or the promoter’s negligence, but the promoter is not responsible for any unforeseeable loss or damage . Loss or damage is foreseeable if it is an obvious consequence of the promoter’s breach or if they were contemplated by the entrant and the promoter at the time the entrant entered the Competition. The promoter is not liable to any entrant or prize winner for acts or omissions of any third party which are beyond the promoter’s reasonable control, or any other event which is beyond the reasonable control of the promoter.

Nothing in these Terms and Conditions shall exclude or restrict the promoter’s liability for fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation or for death or personal injury caused by the promoter’s negligence or that of its employees.

The prize winner agrees that they will be liable to the promoter for any loss or damage arising from any breach of these Terms and Conditions by the prize winner or their guest, and any other loss or damage caused by the fault or negligence of the prize winner or their guest.

By participating in the Competition, each entrant agrees to be bound by, and is deemed to have read and understood, these Terms and Conditions.

If any provision contained in these Terms and Conditions shall be prohibited by law or adjudged by a court to be unlawful, void or unenforceable such provision shall, to the extent required, be severed from these Terms and Conditions and rendered ineffective as far as possible without modifying the remaining provisions of these Terms and Conditions, and shall not in any way affect the validity or enforcement of the remaining Terms and Conditions.

The promoter reserves the right to extend, withdraw, alter or suspend this Competition or these Terms and Conditions at any time if circumstances beyond its control make this unavoidable
This Competition and these Terms and Conditions are governed by English law and the courts of England and Wales shall have non-exclusive jurisdiction over any dispute arising out of or in connection with this Competition.

As a consumer, you will benefit from any mandatory provisions of the law of the country in which you are resident. Nothing in these Terms and Conditions, including the paragraph above, affects your rights as a consumer to rely on such mandatory provisions of local law.

Prize flight travel is subject to Qantas’ General Conditions of Carriage, available at qantas.com.

The travellers will not accrue Qantas Points on any element of the prize. An upgrade cannot be purchased on airfares with cash or Qantas Points.

Qantas makes no representation as to the safety, conditions or other issues that may exist at any destination.
