New Zealand led early thanks to a try from Ngani Laumape in his first start, set up by a cross-kick from Beauden Barrett to brother Jordie.

The Lions hit back with a penalty from Owen Farrell, and he added three more to make it 7-6 just after the half-hour.

Again the All Blacks went over, Jordie Barrett finishing off a fine move after Laumape and Anton Lienert-Brown had combined in the midfield to create the space.

Trailing 12-6 at the break, the Lions hit straight back with a massive long-range penalty from Elliot Daly, and they then drew level on the hour-mark.

Beauden Barrett’s penalty with 12 minutes remaining put New Zealand back in front, but Farrell kept his nerve from distance to level things before the Lions defence held in the final minutes.
