New Wasps deal for Ibanez

France hooker Raphael Ibanez has agreed a one-year contract extension with Wasps that will keep him at Adams Park until 2008.

Ibanez, 34, has proved a success since joining Wasps last year, making 23 appearances for the club in his first season and winning an additional eight caps for France – taking his total to 80.

Wasps director of Rugby Ian McGeechan said: "Raf’s work for the club has been outstanding in the last year.

"His experience and professionalism have meant that he’s become a very important member of the squad both on and off the pitch.

"It’s great that we can take that forward for another 12 months."
