46 years after travelling to New Zealand as a player, John Spencer will be back in 2017 as the British & Irish Lions tour manager.
The former England international knows what it takes to beat the All Blacks – he was part of the 1971 tourists that remain the only Lions crop to emerge victorious in a test-series against New Zealand.
And, speaking at the announcement of Canterbury as the official apparel partner to the 2017 Lions, Spencer is already excited about taking on the old foe once more.
