The Argentinian national team have lost three key players for the May 23 duel against the British & Irish Lions in Cardiff.

Lucas Ostiglia, Martin Durand and Marcos Ayerza are injured and ruled out of the match.

Padova back row forward Ostiglia has a knee injury while Durand has twisted his right ankle.

Newman’s prop Ayerza has a shoulder problem sustained in Argentinian domestic rugby.

Also like to miss out are Stade Francais scrum-half Agustin Pichot, Rodrigo Roncero and Toulouse’s Omar Hasan who will play in the Heineken Cup final the day before.
