Burger and Habana return

Schalk Burger and Bryan Habana return to the Springbok starting line up for Saturday’s clash with New Zealand in Cape Town, with Percy Montgomery set for his 100th Test cap.

Both Burger and Habana missed last weekend’s win over Argentina after suffering injuries in the World Champions’ defeat against Australia in Perth on July 19.

However, Peter de Villiers has named the World Cup winning duo on the blindside flank and left wing respectively, with scrum-half Fourie du Preez also returning from injury to make his first appearance since November’s World Cup Final.

Montgomery will become the first South African to achieve a century of international caps after he was recalled to the side in place of Conrad Jantjes.

Flanker Juan Smith will also achieve a major milestone by winning his 50th Test cap, while Andries Bekker replaces the injured Bakkies Botha in the second row.
