Llanelli Scarlets have have signed Kiwi prop Craig Dunlea until the end of the season.

The 29-year-old, who plays for Otago in New Zealand's National Provincial Championship and featured in their 30-19 defeat by the British & Irish Lions this summer, also had a spell in Scotland with Borders in the 2002-03 season.

Scarlets chief executive Stuart Gallacher said: "We need the cover with Iestyn Thomas and Phil John out of action for another couple of months yet."
