Adam Jones went on two tours with the Lions, to South Africa in 2009 and Australia in 2013.

The Welsh prop - who is part of a select group of Welshmen to have won three Grand Slams - was among 13 Welsh players initially selected for the 2009 Lions tour of South Africa.

After shoring up the Lions' scrum as a replacement in the first Test, Jones started the second international alongside fellow countrymen Jenkins and Matthew Rees.

This was the first time an all-Welsh front row was selected for a Lions Test match since Billy Williams, Bryn Meredith and Courtney Meredith achieved the same feat in 1955.

Jones missed the final international in Johannesburg, however, having been forced home after the heart-breaking 28-25 second Test defeat in Pretoria after dislocating his right shoulder.

But four years later Jones made amends - starting all three Tests for Warren Gatland's history makers as they claimed a 2-1 series win over the Wallabies.

In total the tighthead - who retired from international rugby in early 2015 - pulled on the famous red jersey on 12 separate occasions, five of them in Test matches.
