Irishman Alex Foster enjoyed a busy time on the British & Irish Lions tour to South Africa, appearing in 17 of the 24 matches.
He had already racked up five tries in the matches leading up to the first Test in Johannesburg – including a double in the opening match against Western Province Colleges – and he continued that form with another although it was not enough to the stop the tourists slipping to a 14-10 defeat.
Foster and the British & Irish Lions turned the tables in the second Test with an 8-3 win but the tourists – missing Foster – then slipped up in the third test 21-5.
