Hooker Andy Titterell was viewed by some as a surprise selection for the 2005 Tour to New Zealand.
The England international would make two starts, and three appearances in total in the famous red jersey on that Tour – taking on Taranaki, Southland and Manawatu.
He won the first of five England caps during the 2004 summer Tour to New Zealand, coming off the bench in Auckland. He made his last England appearance in 2007.
Titterrell played every game of Sale Sharks’ Premiership winning season in 2005-2006. He later had club spells with Gloucester, Leeds Carnegie and Edinburgh.
