Part of the triumphant 1971 Tour to New Zealand, Arthur Lewis featured in ten midweek fixtures for the Lions scoring tries against Canterbury and Manawatu/Horowhenua.

The Welsh centre, who played his club rugby for Ebbw Vale, had made his international debut just over 12 months previously in a Five Nations victory over France in Cardiff.

Born in Crumlin, South Wales, Lewis went on to record 11 caps, winning nine times and losing just twice with his country, while his sole try came against England at Cardiff in January 1973.
