Arthur Rotherham was an English scrum-half who represented the Lions on their 1891 Tour to South Africa.
A Cambridge University Blue, he was selected as part of Bill Maclagan’s touring team after impressing for Richmond, and played in two of the three Tests against South Africa.
Rotherham scored a conversion in each of his Test appearances, to finish as the top points scorer in the Test series, which the Lions won 3-0.
Despite his performances for the Lions, he had to wait until 1898 to finally earn an England cap, winning five in all, including leading England in the 1899 Home Nations Championship.
