Aubone Surtees was an English forward on the 1891 Lions Tour to South Africa.
Having gone to Rugby School and then Cambridge University, where he won a Blue in 1886, Surtees played a leading role for Bill Maclagan’s team in South Africa.
He played 14 games in all on the Tour, including all three Test matches as the Lions returned home unbeaten.
After returning from the Lions, Surtees, who never represented England internationally, served in the British Army in World War One.
