Irishman Barrie Bresnihan was a member of two Lions Tours, accumulating 26 appearances in the famous red jersey.
In 1966 he did not feature on the Australian leg of the Tour, making his Lions debut against South Canterbury, North Otago and Mid Canterbury, in a 20-12 victory.
He did not make any Test appearances on that year’s Tour but two years later, when the Lions visited South Africa, Bresnihan featured in three of the four Tests.
The centre scored seven tries in his 26 appearances and in 2013 was inducted into the London Irish Hall of Fame at their annual awards dinner.
