Born in Bridgwater, Robert Dibble played as a forward for local club Bridgwater & Albion RFC before making his international debut for England against Scotland in 1906.
A West Country legend, Dibble won a record 72 caps for Somerset, as well as making 19 international appearances for England before his last appearance in the white shirt, again against Scotland, one day short of the sixth anniversary of his debut.
He was one of 14 forwards selected for the 1908 Lions Tour to New Zealand and Australia, where he appeared in all three Test matches, as well as 18 other fixtures.
