Charles Beamish, brother of 1930 Lions tourist George, was selected as part of the 1936 Tour to Argentina which saw the Lions win all ten of their fixtures including the one Test.

The Irish prop, who was also a second World War pilot, made 12 appearances for his country.

He made his debut against Wales in Belfast in 1933 and scored his only international try in 1935 against New Zealand.

Beamish had two other brothers, Cecil and Victor who were officers in the RAF.
