Christopher Stanger-Leathes earned a single cap for both the British & Irish Lions and England in 1904 and 1905 respectively.
The full-back’s only Lions Test came in a 17-0 victory over Australia in 1904 in front of approximately 34,000 fans at the Sydney Cricket Ground – he played ten games throughout the tour.
His only England cap came in 1905 as the Red Rose was defeated by Ireland 17-3 in Cork.
Stanger-Leathes was also an accomplished cricketer where he represented Northumberland.
