English centre Colin McFadyean went on tour with The British & Irish Lions in 1966 to Australia and New Zealand, winning four caps over the six Tests.

The Loughborough University graduate won 11 caps for England between 1966 and 1968, scoring four tries and captaining them twice.

The speedy McFadyean was also adept on the wing and it was this versatility which was attractive to Lions head coach John Robins.

Against Australia, the Lions were on fire as they won both Test matches – the second with a commanding 31-0 score.

However, McFadyean did not feature in those Tests, instead coming into the team for the four Tests against New Zealand.
