Dai Davies made his Lions debut in the 32-3 victory over West Coast in May 1950 and would go on to make 14 appearances on that Tour of New Zealand and Australia.
The hooker appeared in two Tests against the All Blacks and one against the Wallabies, with the Lions emerging as 19-6 victors in the latter.
After making his international debut in an 11-5 win over England at Twickenham in 1950, Davies – who played his club rugby for Somerset Police – won 17 caps for Wales in a four-year international career.
He was part of the Welsh side that famously beat the All Blacks at Cardiff Arms Park in 1953.
