Scotland international lock Damian Cronin featured for The British & Irish Lions on the 1993 Tour of New Zealand.
He didn’t feature in any of the Test matches but he did play for the midweek side against North Auckland, New Zealand Maori, Southland, Taranaki, Hawkes Bay and Waikato.
Born in Germany, Cronin played his amateur rugby for Bath and also London Scottish, before moving to London Wasps in 1996, where he ended his career.
Cronin was part of the Scotland team that won the 1990 Grand Slam; he made his debut against Ireland in 1988 and made his final appearance ten years later against England.
He won 45 caps during his international career and also played in the 1991 and 1995 World Cups for Scotland.
