Dean Richards played at No.8 for England and featured for his country on 48 occasions.
Richards made his international debut against Ireland in 1986 and played for England at the 1987, 1991 and 1995 World Cups as he established himself as one of the premier No.8 in world rugby.
He was selected for both The 1989 and 1993 British & Irish Lions Tours to Australia and New Zealand and featured in all six Test matches.
Richards was a one-club man and played for the Leicester Tigers, making over 300 appearances for the east midlands club, before also going on to coach them for six years.
He also enjoyed coaching spells at Grenoble, Harlequins and Newcastle Falcons.
