Hooker Douglas Edward Law started alongside Charles Payne in the British & Irish Lions front row that made hay in South America in 1927.
Along with Arthur Allen and Payne, Law started all four internationals against Argentina.
Huddersfield-born Law played just one Test for England – a win over Ireland at Twickenham in 1927 – and though he would tour just the once with the Lions, on a so-called ‘forgotten’ Tour, that trip was extremely influential in the development of Argentinian rugby.
