Dyne Fenton Smith played a remarkable 23 games for the 1910 British & Irish Lions on their Tour to South Africa.
In playing three Tests for the Lions, the Richmond second-row played more internationals for the tourists than he did for his country.
Smith’s only two England caps came in a win over Wales at Twickenham – the first ever Test at English Rugby HQ – and a draw with Ireland.
Along with George Isherwood and Cherry Pillman, Smith formed part of a strong English contingent in 1910.
He was a virtual ever-present for the Tourists, scoring one try and playing in the Pillman-inspired second-Test win over the Springboks.
