At the age of only 21, Eric Miller was youngest member of the touring party to South Africa in 1997.
The back-row forward - who only had four international caps for Ireland to his name before his Lions selection - made five appearances during the successful Tour, including earning one Test cap.
A bout of flu saw him miss the first Test but he recovered in time to feature in the second, which secured the series win. However, injury saw him miss the third Test.
Miller made his debut for Ireland against Italy in 1997 and played in both the 1999 and 2003 World Cups.
