One of two men named Geoff Evans to play for the Lions; Evans the Coventry-born centre was part of the 1974 Tour to South Africa.
His Tour high came in a fixture against South Western Districts where he scored a hat-trick in a 97-0 win at the Van Rieebeck Ground in Witbank.
He scored again in a 69-16 victory over Griqualand West but failed to force his way into the Test squad.
Evans played nine times for England scoring a single try against Scotland at Twickenham in March 1973, a year on from his international debut against the same opposition at Murrayfield.
