Scottish international Hugh McLeod toured twice with The British & Irish Lions, in 1955 to South Africa and in 1959 to Australia and New Zealand.

It was the latter where the prop shone, as he started all six Tests as the Lions won in Australia 2-0 but lost to New Zealand 3-1.

An international veteran, McLeod made his debut against the All Blacks at Murrayfield in a narrow 3-0 loss.

Described as one of the great Scottish props, McLeod spent eight years playing for the national side – winning 40 caps.
