Prop Iain Milne toured New Zealand with the Lions in 1983 four years after making his international debut for Scotland.
Though he featured in eight matches against provincial sides, he was not used in any of the four Tests against the All Blacks.
Milne only tasted defeat once in his eight appearances – a 22-20 reverse against Canterbury days before the third Test.
He scored in the penultimate match of the Tour, a 40-13 win over Waikato.
The burly Scot was nicknamed “The Bear” such was his size and strength and was part of the 1984 Grand Slam-winning side.
He won his 44th and final cap for Scotland playing alongside his brother Kenny in the front row.
