A powerful force in the Leinster and Ireland star since bursting on the scene a decade ago, Jack Conan will tour with The British & Irish Lions for a second time in 2025.
A reliable back-rower, Conan has become a key player for Ireland under Andy Farrell and has added two Six Nations titles - and one Grand Slam - to the one he won in 2018.
After an injury-hit start to his career, Conan featured regularly for his club and helped Leinster win the league and European double in 2017/18.
He also featured on Ireland’s successful tour to Australia in June 2018 after making two appearances for his country in that year’s Six Nations Grand Slam triumph.
While 2019/20 proved to be another year hampered by injury, Conan has been part of a further three PRO14 title successes with Leinster as he surpassed 100 provincial caps.
He also scored the only try in the 2021 PRO14 Grand Final victory over Munster, earning the Player of the Match accolade for his performance in the silverware showpiece.
Conan maintained that hot form on his first Lions tour, where he scored one try apiece against both the Cell C Sharks and DHL Stormers in South Africa.
A series of impressive performances was enough to convince Warren Gatland to give him the nod for the Test series and he started all three against the Springboks.
Conan played all 80 minutes of the 22-17 win in the first Test and then 59 and 60 minutes respectively in the second and third, as the Lions lost the series 2-1.
Conan has remained a key player for Ireland under Farrell, featuring in every match of their 2023 Grand Slam triumph and playing in key Rugby World Cup matches against Scotland and New Zealand.
