A dual-code international, he earned 12 British and seven English caps during his rugby league career before switching codes in 2000.
During a six-year international rugby union career he was part of England’s 2003 World Cup winning team, scoring 140 points in 51 Red Rose appearances.
His Lions career will be remembered for his outstanding display and try against Australia in the First Test in Brisbane, famously sidestepping Wallaby Chris Latham.
