Jason White was a late injury call-up to the 2005 Lions Tour to New Zealand - arriving in the Land of the Long White Cloud shortly before the second Test against the All Blacks in Wellington as a replacement for Richard Hill.

In doing so, White became the 51st player called up to Sir Clive Woodward's squad and the fourth Scot after Gordon Bulloch, Chris Cusiter and Simon Taylor - though the latter had to withdraw through injury.

The flanker only made one appearance in the famous red jersey, taking on Auckland in a tour match.

Versatile enough to line up at lock or No.8 as well, White enjoyed a fine international career with Scotland.

He won 77 caps for his country, captaining them in his best year of 2006 as they won the Calcutta Cup clash with England and White was named Scotland Player of the Year.
