Jeff Probyn may not have toured with The British & Irish Lions, but he started their 1989 centenary celebration match against France in Paris.
The East London prop stared his rugby career at Old Albanians before moving on to Streatham and later Wasps, where he won the English Courage League in 1990.
Probyn did not make his England debut until 1988, aged 31, against France just a year after being left out of the 1987 World Cup squad.
His international career lasted five years and 37 caps, with the last coming against Ireland in a 17-3 defeat at Lansdowne Road.
After rugby, Probyn coached the England U21 team from 1994 to 1997, before sitting on the RFU Council – where he contributed to the decision to hire Clive Woodward as coach.
