Jim Calder was part of the 1983 Tour to New Zealand and featured in the third Test in Dunedin.
The blindside flanker featured in seven matches in total and scored tries against Mid Canterbury, Southland and North Auckland.
He won 27 caps for Scotland between 1981 and 1985, scoring three tries in the process, and was a combative presence on the left side of the scrum.
Calder, whose brother Finlay captained the Lions in 1989, famously scored in Scotland’s win over France at Murrayfield in 1984 that claimed just a second Grand Slam in his country’s history and their first since 1925.
Despite being twin brothers, the Calder brothers never played for Scotland at the same time. Jim won the last of his caps in 1985, a year before Finlay made his debut.
