John Brett was a prop who toured Argentina with The British & Irish Lions in 1936.
At the time of the trip to South America Brett was still at the University of Oxford, as was another member of the squad, Alexander Obolensky.
The Lions won all ten of their matches in Argentina, scoring 399 points in the process while conceding just 12 at the other end.
The highest victory recorded was a 62-0 success against Pacific Railways AC, while Brett and co also triumphed 23-0 against Argentina in the only Test.
