John Fisher was a versatile English back who was selected for the 1904 British Lions tour to Australia and New Zealand.
The Lions would win 16 of 19 matches, with Fisher featuring in three games, including a fine performance against Toowoomba, and scoring one try.
However, Fisher missed out on the three Test victories over Australia, as well as the sole loss to New Zealand.
He was joined on the tour by Hull and East Ridings teammate Burnett Massey.
