John Gould made his only Test appearance while on Tour with the Lions in 1891 in South Africa.
The English forward played in the first Test in Port Elizabeth, a match the Lions won 4-0.
Gould played 12 matches in all on the Tour, as the Lions returned home unbeaten, one of only two Lions sides ever to have managed the feat.
