George Kenneth ‘Ken’ Smith was an all-action flanker that packed 18 Scotland caps and a British & Irish Lions Tour into a four-year international career.
The Edinburgh-born back row won two of four Lions Tests, scoring a try in the 17-6 triumph over Australia, latching onto a 40-metre break from Bev Risman to score.
Smith made 17 appearances in all for the tourists, scoring twice on debut against Victoria and another against West Coast-Buller before bringing the curtain down on his Lions tenure against a British Columbia All Stars side in Canada.
