A Leicester Tigers legend, Kenneth Berridge Wood never won a cap for England, but played two Tests for the 1910 British & Irish Lions on their Tour to South Africa.
Despite never playing a Test for England, Wood turned out twice for the Lions Test XV, though was never on the winning side – starting both the first and third Tests.
Centre Wood made 121 appearances for Leicester between 1906 and 1919, playing in two Midlands Counties Cup winning sides.
When the Wallabies visited in 1908, Wood was a key part of the Midlands and East Midlands that claimed a famous victory.
Wood scored two tries for the Lions, which came in consecutive games against Natal and he later migrated to South Africa.
