Keri Jones earned a place on the 1968 Lions Tour to South Africa after a prolific club career with Cardiff and a run of five Tests with Wales.
Though he was only involved in one Welsh victory, Jones scored twice as a wing and that attacking threat convinced the Lions to call him up just seven months on from his Test debut.
Jones did not win a Test spot against the Springboks but was a prominent face on Tour, playing in six games and crossing for a try in a win over South Western Districts.
After the Tour’s conclusion, Jones converted to rugby league and earned two caps for Great Britain at the 1970 World Cup while playing for Wigan.
