Dual-code international Malcolm Price managed to score more British & Irish Lions Test tries on the 1959 Tour of Australia and New Zealand than he did in his entire Wales career.
The Pontypool-born centre scored twice for Wales in nine appearances, but scored two for the Lions during their 24-3 win over Australia in Sydney and two more in the 18-17 loss to New Zealand in Dunedin.
That’s not to mention the ten further tries he scored in mid-week games as he racked up 19 Lions appearances in one Tour – including five Test caps.
He finished the Tour with 14 tries from 19 games.
