Scoring tries in each of his first four Tour matches was certainly not a bad introduction to the Lions for Mike Weston.
That feat came on the 1962 Tour of South Africa, notching 37 points in his opening five games, the first of two Tours in the famous Lions jersey.
A centre, capable of playing fly-half, Weston featured in all four Tests against the Springboks before going on to captain England, although he was self-admittedly never the same after breaking his leg in 1965, still going on to boast 29 caps.
He made the trip to New Zealand and Australia in 1966, scoring three times on the Tour to take his Lions tally to eight.
