A former police boxing heavyweight champion, Mike Coulman made his international debut for England in 1967, and went on to play rugby at the highest level in both union and league codes.
The prop, who played union for Moseley, was selected for the 1968 Lions Tour to South Africa and started the third Test against the Springboks, but lasted only five minutes of the game before tearing his ankle ligaments.
Later that year, Coulman switched to rugby league, and went on to make 463 appearances in 15 years for Salford, before coaching the club for a year following his retirement from playing.
