Welsh prop Mike Griffiths may not have featured in a Test match during the 1989 Tour but his presence was certainly felt both on and off the pitch.
On the pitch, Griffiths made five starts and one substitute outing in total during the victorious Tour of Australia, winning all of them.
And away from the pitch the true Lions’ spirit was in full force as Griffiths and Dai Young were deemed to have been spending too much time together, so ‘court’ decided to tie their ankles together for 24 hours.
Griffiths was one of the best scrummagers in the Welsh game and earned 35 caps for his country.
