A two-time Lion, Mike Phillips played five Tests in the famous red jersey across 2009 and 2013 and won three of them. That impressive record tells you a lot about this scrum-half's influence.
Renowned for his physicality, Phillips started all three clashes against South Africa in 2009 - scoring a try in the first Test - but the Springboks grabbed a dramatic 2-1 series win.
After being a virtual ever-present for Warren Gatland's Wales that secured back-to-back Championships - including a Grand Slam in 2012 - he was once against picked for the Lions Tour of Australia.
There he started the first Test win over the Wallabies in Brisbane before being dropped from the match-day squad for the second Test that ended in defeat in Melbourne.
But he was recalled for the decisive third Test in Sydney and the Lions secured a famous series-sealing 41-16 victory.
By the time of the 2015 Rugby World Cup, Phillips had been usurped in the Wales scrum-half pecking order by the likes of Rhys Webb and Gareth Davies and he announced his international retirement in December 2015.
In all, Phillips made 11 appearances in the red jersey of the Lions, scoring four tries. His five Lions Test caps added to his 94 caps for Wales means he retired one short of the the century.
